Mission

The possibilities of Ultrasonic is unlimited in modern technology.
Ultex has been developing advanced technology in the field of "Ultrasonic Metal Bonding" and "Ultrasonic Soldering" to suit our customer's needs.
Ultex steadies and establishes the High-power Ultrasonic as the new major technical method.
We are strongly hoping this new method will innovate in Assembly Technology and contribute to the Prevention of Environmental Destruction as well as Energy Conservation.
since 1990

Simple & Easy Processing, enabled by SoundPower
Parts can be assembled mechanically by tightening bolts, soldered with heat, or welded with electricity or lasers. However, the only process that could be trusted to produce sturdy connections used to be simple bolts.
When ultrasonics were discovered in the 20th century, hopes were high that they could provide solutions for challenging assembly cases. Unfortunately, this technology was not yet capable of producing reliable results at the time, and ever since then, these problems had been left unsolved.
This led many customers to believe that ‘Ultrasonics are unfit as a manufacturing method!’
Not yet able to access the energy locked away within sound, ultrasonic manufacturing was quickly left behind by history.
Then in 1990, Ultex picked up these incomplete technologies, and we took it upon ourselves to finally advance them to a usable level. By not restricting us to ultrasound and exploring an even wider range of frequencies, we also opened up possibilities for entirely new applications. Now in the 21st century, SoundPower has been recognized as a new major manufacturing method and is starting to gain in popularity.
Our SoundPower systems have already been integrated into many production lines for lithium-ion and Ni-MH battery production, power module production, and flip chip mounting. Every day their zero-trouble track record proves how important SoundPower systems have become for Japanese industrial infrastructure.
Sound bonding steel, tinned, or galvanized parts used to be called impossible, but Ultex technology has made even that possible. We will continue to aim for ever greater achievements and expand our mass production track record with dissimilar material bonding and 3D hermetic bonding technologies.
Alongside bonding, we have also developed cutting technologies over the past 30 years.
By adding sound energy to a fast-rotating diamond blade, we multiplied its cutting potential. High-speed collisions with the extremely hard diamond particles destroy materials on a microscopic level, resulting in speedy, damage-free cuts. The ease with which SoundPower technology cuts even tough materials like SiC is proof of its capabilities.
Ultex systems make the impossible possible. With simple designs that allow for easy processing, we create the ideal manufacturing environment. SoundPower requires only sound as energy source! Utilizing this clean energy contributes greatly to solving energy and environmental problems.
