SoundPower
SoundPower – our mission for innovative technology
Ultex was founded from the desire to advance ultrasonic bonding and soldering in a designated research laboratory. Since then, we have been focusing on the goal of establishing 「SoundPower」 metal bonding as an essential manufacturing technology. This has drastically improved the usage of sound energy all over.
We have already expanded ultrasonic technologies into the audible sound range and will continue to grow them into major and indispensable manufacturing methods. Our systematic approach enables us to consistently pursue low-cost mass-production solutions with exceptionally low defect rates, making Ultex the global leader in sound energy technologies.

Energy idea
The idea and goal of SoundPower
The Ultex company policy is based on the idea that advancing ultrasonic bonding and soldering technology will offer an effective way to tackle ever more present environmental problems.
After inventing technologies to bond steel and solder non-ferrous metals, Ultex continues to develop new technologies for bonding dissimilar materials, three-dimensional shapes, and ever larger parts. We are also working closely with industries to support superconductor and fuel cell manufacturing.
Guided by our “SoundPower” mission, we are helping to create a low-carbon society.

Trouble free
Mass production with zero trouble – proven and trusted
Whether it is Ni-MH and Li-ion batteries, power modules, or other electrical parts, Ultex provides reliable mass production solutions.
Our streamlined processes achieve mass production with exceptionally low defect rates - testimony to perfected and reliable systems.

Revolutionary
A revolution in steel bonding – birth of a new manufacturing method
Utilizing the full potential of SoundPower, Energy Concentration Bonding [ECB] unlocks possibilities for sound bonding in entirely new fields.
Sound energy technologies are gaining ever more popularity in high-tech industries, mass-producing electronics, semiconductors, and lithium-ion batteries. Our latest technologies also offer solutions for the heavy sector, opening up new markets in infrastructure, defense, power, and the superconductor industry.
Until recently, sound bonding was restricted to rare and non-ferrous metals such as gold, silver, copper, and aluminium. We are creating ever more possibilities to allow for bonds between parts of vastly different materials, like steel, ceramics, or superconductors.

01
Bonding
SoundBonding utilizes the power of sound to create interatomic bonds between parts while in the atmosphere and at room temperature. It allows for bonding between dissimilar metals, like copper and steel, or even nonmetallic materials like ceramics. SoundBonding has also solved core problems for lithium-ion battery mass production.

03
Rotation
SoundRotation utilizes the power of sound and rotational motion to create continuous bonded seams with interatomic bonds between layers. Our SoundRotation systems, equipped with the world’s largest rotating resonators, can create continuous hermetic seals, all digitally controlled.
